Founder & Principal Consultant
With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, community engagement, strategic planning, staff and leadership development, and interim support for nonprofit executive directors, Elsa is a seasoned expert in empowering organizations and individuals to thrive. She has a proven track record of designing and facilitating authentic community engagement processes and helping organizations develop strategic, culturally relevant solutions that drive lasting change.
Having worked in various roles—from program development to leading a prominent nonprofit organization in Denver—Elsa profoundly understands how to connect with and uplift communities. Her approach is grounded in meeting people where they are, fostering inclusivity, and guiding organizations through transformational change.
As Agave Strategies, LLC’s founder and principal consultant, Elsa specializes in helping nonprofit organizations build their internal capacity by enhancing leadership, strengthening staff culture, and creating sustainable growth systems. She works closely with nonprofit leaders and teams to drive organizational success through personalized coaching, strategic planning, and operational support. Elsa also offers customized interim support for executive directors on sabbaticals, ensuring continuity and stability during leadership transitions.
Elsa’s dedication to community and staff development and her focus on leadership excellence has been recognized through her selection as a Bonfils Stanton Foundation Livingston Fellow in 2021. She was also a fellow with Transformational Leadership for Change in 2018. Elsa is pursuing her MBA at the University of Colorado in Denver, further enhancing her expertise in nonprofit management and organizational growth to advance her mission of driving positive, transformational change by developing effective leaders.
